The best thing to wear is something comfortable in which you can move around in. As we seek to promote a healthy and welcoming environment for all, we ask all climbers wear modest, non-offensive clothing. Climbing shoes are recommended but not required. Closed-toed shoes are required for your safety, if you are not wearing climbing shoes. If you do not own climbing shoes, you can rent them at our front desk for $1.00. You can also purchase a pair of socks for $3.00.
Gift cards can be purchased at the front desk at Memphis Rox. If you are interested in purchasing a gift card but are out of town, please email events@memphisrox.com.
No, we do not have auto belays. In order to climb in the rope section, you need a belay partner.

Memphis Rox was founded on the idea that diversity, inclusion and the empowerment of communities or color would stand at the forefront of our guiding principles. We work to break down barriers in an industry where there often aren’t an array of faces for youth of color to look to and see themselves reflected. All we do is led by the community we serve. This means creating a safe space where discrimination based on race, religion, gender, ethnicity, ability, sexual orientation or any other identity is never tolerated. At Memphis Rox, everyone is welcomed — and no one is ever turned away.
